Blog Mastermind Review - is It Worth Investing In?

August 13, 2007 – 4:47 am

Over the past year it is obvious that membership sites are growing by leaps and bounds. The problem is many of these are total pieces of garbage that offer little if any value. Well today I review a membership site that I actually was impressed with. It may not be for everyone but read on and decide for yourself.
The site is called Blog Mastermind and is the creation of Yaro Starak from Australia. Yaro is a professional blogger (not a splogger but an actual quality blogger) and has been able to earn a decent living from using blogs. I originally met Yaro when I came across one of his main blogs and wanted to pick his brain. We ended up talking for a while as it became obvious that this guy knew his stuff about blogging and he even agreed to record an interview with me for my PortalFeeder members. At the time he mentioned he was creating a membership site to teach his principals and wanted me to check it out when it was finished. I agreed but made it clear that I did not want to create any false hopes that I would promote it because I am very cautious about any membership site and I made it clear that I needed to have access to it and check it out myself. I am not one to promote anything that I do not believe in myself and if I believe in it I will try my best to get a great deal on it (which you will see later on in this review).

Well, about 5 weeks ago Yaro set me up with access, I have played around with it and here is what I think.

1. Lessons: The system is set up with what are called eLessons. They are lessons that are sent to you via email in sequential order. Each lesson is details and sent 7 days apart. This really is the meat of the program and is intended to take individuals who have never created a proper blog to having one and creating quality traffic. The lessons come with audios and videos and are very good quality. They are targeted directly towards someone who is just starting out with blogging and wants to do it correctly. I could see great value in this for someone just getting started with blogging but admittedly I wish I could have had access to all the lessons at once but I understand why Yaro set it up as he did because it really does a good job of keeping the beginner on track and focused.

2. Members Resources: This area is full of…

  • Bonus interviews
  • 10 audios that focus on the mindset of blogging and creating a business online
  • Case studies (the greatest value in the resource area in my opinion) that are of blogs that members submit to Yaro to get reviewed. They do one of the case studies each week.
  • Question and Answer audios that are taking from questions that are deemed important from the forum
  • and a few additional resources.

3. Forum: This is a pretty active forum and is private access only where Yaro and a couple staff members are offering help.

Overall…

1. Price: (5 out of 5) Well the regular price is pretty darn good but I was not satisfied… so here is the good part. I convinced Yaro to offer a $1 trial for my mailing list only. This is no trick, I am the ONLY one getting to do this and that is because I convinced Yaro it would be a great way to show off the value and provide a great chance for my loyal subscribers to check it out for themselves without having to spend much. The regular price is $77 a month (which is well worth it alone) but again you get the first month for $1 and then if you like it you stay on for $77 a month. So for price I have to give it a 5 out of 5!

2. Training: (4.5 out of 5) OK, call me picky but first of all the training is fantastic for a beginner in blogging, Yaro knows his stuff and communicates it well but I just do not like not having access to all the training upfront. I think having it upfront and also having it emailed sequentially would be best. If you are very experienced with blogs you will find the first few lessons to be nothing new but if you are not experienced then they are of huge value.

3. Membership Navigation: (3.5 out of 5) As for a membership site it is good but I still found it a little confusing at first trying to figure out exactly what was where and so on and so forth. When you first log in there is a welcome page but the navigation along the top was a little confusing because it is focused on getting set up as an affiliate to promote the site. Make sure you read the welcome page first and navigate that way and it will be clearer.

4. Money Back Guarantee: (5 out of 5) With a membership site and a recurring fee, you really can only offer a 30 day money back, after that if you keep paying then it should mean you took the time to check it out and see value. With the $1 trial I have arranged this really is not even something to worry about but still, there are many membership sites out there that do not offer a money back they just tell you to cancel your subscription.

So I give it a 4.5 out of 5

IMPORTANT - to qualify for the $1 trial you have to use this link below as I am the only one set up to do this :)

This $1 Trail is only set up until this Friday. I had to do a lot of convincing for Yaro to do this and so we agreed to have it run only from Monday to Friday August 17th at 12 noon eastern time this week. So if you do not take action before that, do not say I did not warn you.

Click this link now before Friday’s cut off date http://www.blogmastermind.com Sorry special deal is over!

You can still get in at the regular price if you want :) Click Here to join now~!
